Close Quarter Combat (CQC) Courses
There are currently no courses arranged for 2018.
If you are interested in these courses and would like to be informed of the next course dates, please fill in the form at the bottom of the page and we’ll add you to our mailing list for upcoming courses.
What will these courses cover?
Clearly it is impossible to teach you everything you could ever need to know within a single 3 hour session. However in these CQC courses we aim to teach you simple and effective ways to combat any attacker, using only the tools you were born with.
During our 10 week ‘essential self defence’ courses, you will learn many effective techniques and principles that will discourage or minimise the harm that could come to you in an assault situation.
But what if your attacker refuses to back down, and you require harder hitting skills in order to end the conflict and threat being posed to you? What if your attacker isn’t alone and the threat is greater?
If you aren’t reasonably able to escape, then the harder hitting skills taught on this course may be what you are looking for.
The techniques taught on this course are a combination of various fighting styles, including principles taken straight from the S.A.S, as well as the martial arts world.
There will be some pad-work on this course.
These courses will take place at:
Bournemouth Park Road,
(on-site parking is accessible via Central Avenue)

On the day of your course:
Please arrive approximately ten – fifteen minutes before the official start time, as there will be a health questionnaire to fill in prior to you commencing the course. This is to ensure that your instructor is aware of any health issues or recent injuries you may be recovering from, that may effect your ability to participate in certain portions of the session.
All of the Real-Defence workshops are 3 hours long, to enable us to cover as much material as possible during the single session.
A short break will be taken half way through, for drinks or snacks, if you want to bring anything with you.
Please make a note of your course date and time in your calendar, so you don’t forget! No refunds are available for individuals who fail to attend on the day.
